Artek Moomin Celebration Cabinet

Cabinet 250 Celebration marks the return of Alvar Aalto's classic "cocktail cabinet" from the archives as a limited special edition.

The birch cabinet and solid birch legs have a honey-coloured finish, its elegant exterior suggesting festivity through its intended function of serving special gatherings. However, when opened, the cabinet reveals an enchanting element of surprise: unexpected guests appear in the form of Tove Jansson’s Moomin characters, depicted throughout the interior in a nostalgic pen-and-ink style.

The artwork consists of a mix of scribble-like line drawings and handwritten texts from Jansson's earliest notebooks and Moomin stories, making the cabinet feel like a truly custom-made piece of furniture.
